GET TO KNOW HER…
Sophie is the founder of Sadhana Journey Travel. She is an adventurous, travel addicted and nature lover of 37-year-old who is now living between tropical paradise and Europe.
She started her career in Paris as a Fashion Buyer for luxury brands. Later on, she found more time for herself and developed a passion for travels, ancestral healing and Yoga. In 2013, she decided to dedicate her time to study in Asia and received practical training in Yoga, Ayurveda, Energy healing and discovered more about tradional holistic art and shamanism.
Her healing journey connects her with spiritual guides and ancestors from different cultures passing on the Universal wisdom where she ventures with yogis in India, monks from Thailand and Japan, shamans from South America, indigenous people from Indonesia… Sophie discovered the mythology, cultures and mysteries from ancient traditions. The deeper she delved into shamanism, the more she began to notice profound similarities with yoga. Began incorporating shamanistic principles into her practice, imbuing it with a new richness.
“Shamanism brought to my practice a direct awareness of energy moving through my body, a visceral understanding of what each asana offers,” she says.
Sophie teaches that the word “shaman” and “Vaidya or Ayurvedic doctor” means the knower. In other words, knowing the self, being cognizant of what’s happening around you and within you. We are all innately shamans, but we’re not trained to recognize it. Sophie hopes the Jaguar Path awakens the inner seer, the inner warrior and healer, that potential within all of us to carve our own path with clarity and strength.
Influenced by her teachers, peers, environment and her travels, she has ever since been looking to explore new tools in holistic tradition. She did an Ashtanga 200HR YTT in India in 2013, stayed under the guidance of certified Ashtanga teachers of KP Jois as Prem Carlisi, Damien de Bastier, BNS Iyengar, Isa Guitana till now. “In my classes, I love to combine the traditional ancient knowledge of wisdom from the Eastern world that I integrate into a modern lifestyle. I am dedicated to share about Yoga Therapy, Ayurveda and meditation”.
She traveled the world learning about culture and spirituality through the eyes of the Buddhist monks in Thailand, the Wae Rebo Tribe in Indonesia, the Swami and Yoga Masters in India, Nepal and Bali, the Shamans from Mexico with ancestral reconnections.
My Dharma is to lead people from living in the mind to the heart.
Her wide experience makes her understand, that the key component to health and wellness is travelling into a healing environment. It is an extraordinary step in the process of self-discovery and a crucial element to be able to transform our life with new habits and then supports us to sustain this lifestyle for our own health back home.
Therefore she decided to use what she has learned on her path to connect like-minded people and organizes group events and transmit what she loves. Having faced many crossroad situations herself, she knows how important it is to find time OFF to re-center.
